Terms & Conditions
Last updated:
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PrivacyProbe website, API, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by scanning sites without permission, reverse engineering our software, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to infrastructure.
3. Authorization to scan
You represent and warrant that you own, control, or have written authorization to probe each domain or URL you submit. You agree to indemnify and hold PrivacyProbe harmless from any claims, damages, or regulatory actions arising from scans you initiate without the required rights or consents. Scan outputs may include request/response headers, raw Set-Cookie values, document.cookie strings, and other metadata collected from the target site; you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of those results complies with applicable law.
4. Subscription and payment
Paid features, when introduced, will be billed in advance on a recurring basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated in an order form.
5. Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in the Service remain with PrivacyProbe. You may not remove branding or claim ownership of generated reports.
6. Handling of scan results
You must store, share, and otherwise process scan artefacts in line with applicable privacy, data-protection, confidentiality, and contractual obligations. You may only disclose or commercialize scan artefacts that contain personal or proprietary information if you have the lawful right to do so. We may suspend or terminate the Service if we reasonably believe you are misusing scan data.
7. Warranties and disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that every cookie or header will be captured. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties.
8. Liability
PrivacyProbe shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for claims arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the previous twelve months.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or misuse the platform. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account and ceasing use.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, and each party submits to that venue. If you are a consumer resident in the UK or EU, you retain any non-waivable protections afforded by your local law.
