PrivacyProbe tools
Check if you have cookies enabled
This tool tests whether your browser can actually set and read cookies on this page. It also checks common cookie settings like and , and flags page conditions that can affect results, such as HTTPS, iframe embedding, and preview environments.
Check your website, not just your browser
This page validates cookie behavior in your current browser session only. For a full website-level privacy scan, start from the homepage and test your own URL.
Test your website on the homepageAbout this cookie check
A passing result usually means first-party cookies are working normally here. A partial or failed result does not always mean cookies are fully disabled. In many cases, it means the browser is applying privacy restrictions or the page context is limiting what can be tested.
This tool cannot verify cookies, and it cannot fully prove third-party cookie behaviour without a real cross-site iframe test. Use this as a practical page-level diagnostic, not as a universal test for every cookie scenario.

How to check if you have cookies enabled
Cookies are usually enabled by default in most browsers, but it is easy to confirm settings if you are unsure.
Google Chrome: Open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then go to Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. If “Allow all cookies” or “Block third-party cookies” is enabled, cookies are turned on.
Mozilla Firefox: Open the menu button, choose Settings, then go to Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, check whether Firefox is allowing websites to store cookies.
Microsoft Edge: Open the menu, go to Settings, choose Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data. If “Allow sites to save and read cookie data” is on, cookies are enabled.
Safari on macOS: Open Safari, then click Safari → Preferences. In the Privacy tab, if “Block all cookies” is unchecked, cookies are enabled.
A quick way to test it
Visit a site that relies on cookies. If cookies are disabled, websites may show warnings, fail to remember your settings, or not work properly.
Why this matters
Cookies help websites remember logins, preferences, and session data. If cookies are off, parts of a website may stop working as expected.
PrivacyProbe tip
If you want to inspect how a website uses cookies—not just whether your browser accepts them—PrivacyProbe can help you review cookie behaviour, consent banners, and tracking activity more clearly.
